Set Up Parental Controls on Prime Video for Your TV

How to enable parental controls on Prime Video to restrict content by age rating on TVs activated via primevideo.com/mytv. Keep kids safe while streaming.

Block adult content and require a PIN for purchases on TVs activated via primevideo.com/mytv.

Set a PIN

1. Open settings

   Sign in to Amazon and go to Prime Video Settings > Parental Controls.

2. Create PIN

   Enter a 5-digit PIN and confirm.

3. Save

   Click Save to apply.

Set Viewing Restrictions

1. Choose age rating

   Under Viewing Restrictions, pick the highest rating allowed (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17).

2. Apply to devices

   Select which TVs and devices to protect.

3. Save

   All content above that rating now requires the PIN.

Create a Kids Profile

1. Open profile menu

   On Prime Video, click Who’s watching?.

2. Add Kids profile

   Choose Add Kids Profile and enter a name.

3. Save

   Only kid-friendly content is shown on that profile.

The PIN is required for both purchases and restricted content playback.
